Many restaurants offer special deals for kids and families. In larger cities, you can even find a kids eat free deal every day of the week. If you are looking for an inexpensive family night, free kids meals can drastically reduce the cost of dining out. The trick is knowing when and where the special family events and kids night offers occur.
Keeping track of every restaurant in your area is a big job and best left to the experts. Although, once you’ve discovered family favorites, it wouldn’t hurt to keep a restaurant list in your calendar. Write yourself a note on the inside of your calendar’s cover with a list of local kids eat free offers for each day of the week. When the time arrives to dine out with your family, you’ll know exactly which one to visit!
There are several available resources that track kids meal deals. Most are user contributed so the information is tried and true. Here are a few of my favorite resources for current offers:
- Kids Eat For maintains a list of free and discounted kids meals across the country, searchable by zipcode, metro area, restaurant name and more. They also have an iphone application so you can find locations on the go—where ever you may travel.
- Kids Meal Deals began locally in Ohio, but is quickly spreading across the country. I found a huge listing for the Indianapolis area. Their list is sortable by day of the week, which really helps with planning. They have an iphone application as well.
- My Kids Eat Free maintains their database by city, as opposed to just searching a zipcode. This helps a lot if you are planning to be in another area and you don’t know the zipcode. It is also searchable by day of the week plus they have a great tool that allows you to plan ahead for the week.
- Kids Eat 4 Free is a new one to me so I can’t vouch for it just yet. I like that it is searchable not only by city and day of the week but by cuisine—just in case you have something more specific in mind.
