If you ever visit my home, you would understand how serious I am when I tell you we are slightly (okay, totally) addicted to magazines. One of my long time favorites is Family Fun magazine. It always includes great tips on crafts, games, parties and kid-friendly recipes. (The Treat of the Month is one of my favorites—they’ll share adorable ideas for seasonally appropriate cupcakes like this awesome football field that I just might have to make for kickoff on Sunday.)
My favorite section in every issue is My Great Idea. This section starts with Creative Solutions—a feature on something clever another parent has come up with. I steal it 9 times out of 10. Then it moves into quick tips from even more smart parents. It’s where I got the great idea to use a straw through the foil lid on individual applesauce cups for an on-the-go snack! (See? These people are smart!)
And, now, I’ve got a really smart deal for you. Amazon’s September magazine sale allows you to take $5 or $10 off select magazines when you checkout and Family Fun is included! You’ll get a year of this awesome magazine for only $4.95. Other notable options for this deal include 2-years of Marie Clare or Seventeen for $5, 2 years of Good Housekeeping for $10 and 55 issues of Entertainment Weekly for only $15. See the entire sale offers to choose your subscriptions.
My favorite part of Amazon magazine subscriptions is the free shipping opportunity. Of course, magazines always ship free, but the cost of each magazine will also help you reach the $25 minimum purchase for free shipping on anything else you order. Take advantage of the September sale to get free shipping the little things you’ve been eying or get a jump on holiday shopping (only 107 shopping days until Christmas!).
There are numerous products and tools designed to help you live your life. Some will work, while others won’t. Each Tuesday, we’ll share something we’ve tried so you won’t have to spend money until you know it’s worth it! Our selections usually include items that will also save your family money while others will save you time or just make your inexpensive life easier to manage.
