Gypsy Picnic – Austin’s Premier Trailer Food Festival

November 4, 2010 at 4:30 pm Leave a Comment

One of the best things about Austin is the abundance of food trailers. I’ve never lived in another city that offers so many dining options that are cheaper, quicker, and tastier than any fast food restaurant out there. Not to mention locally owned and full of Austin panache. Even Anthony Bourdain can’t resist Austin food trailers.

The age old question of “where do you want to go to dinner?” has turned into “which food trailer do you want to try tonight?” This Saturday, we’re going to try all of them at Gypsy Picnic.

Gypsy Picnic is a gathering of over 30 of Austin’s most famous and delectable food trailers (including two of my favorites, Torchy’s Tacos and Gordough’s) set to the tune of live local musicians with a view of beautiful downtown from the banks of Auditorium Shores. The best part of this fine (trailer park) dining experience is that sample portions will be available for $3 or less!

Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free  options will be available.

Gypsy Picnic
Saturday, November November 6th from 11am to 8pm
