Zilker Park Kite Fest
One of my favorite events in Austin is the Zilker Park Kite Festival – the entire skyline is dotted with kites of all shapes, sizes, and colors and it is absolutely breathtaking to see.

This year’s Kite Festival is scheduled for March 6th—I’ll give you all the event details closer to the big day—but now is the time to get started on your kite!

FREE family-friendly kite making workshops sponsored by The Exchange Club of Austin and the City of Austin Parks & Recreation Department will be taking place Saturday, February 12th, 19th & 26th at different locations around the city. All materials are included and kite making experts will be on hand to show you how to construct the perfect kite.
