Tried It Tuesday: Kids Eat For iPhone App

November 3, 2009 at 11:30 am 6 Comments

KEFWe first introduced you to Kids Eat For through our Kids Eat Free resource list. Search for your location on their website, and you’ll be presented with a calendar view of kids meal deals in your area. I love that their list includes both kids eat free and discounted meals. When I Kids Eat For offered me the opportunity to try the new Kids Eat For iPhone application, I couldn’t install it fast enough!

We actually don’t dine out a lot but when we do, I try to keep our expenses down. Kids meal deals are one of the easiest ways to save on family dining expenses. You don’t even need to remember the coupons! We do tend to dine out more when traveling, of course, so a tool that keeps the information at our fingertips on the go is a valuable resource.
KEF deals
I’ve tried out a few applications over the last few months, but I’m excited to have finally found one that has everything I need! The Kids Eat For app features a list of nearby deals, based on your current location, and a searchable database. Search for your favorite restaurants or another location to find the deals you need. It even gives you the option to map the deals in your area.
KEF add a deal
One very unique feature is the ability to add your own deals as you find additional offers. You can even mark your family’s favorites for easy reference. The application is only $2.99 and far superior to everything I’ve found so far. However, you have the chance to win one of two free downloads now—simply leave a comment, telling us about your favorite family restaurants or iPhone applications.

You can earn additional entries by:

  • Becoming a Facebook fan of Kids Eat For and Inexpensively
  • Subscribing to our site by email or RSS
  • Following Kids Eat For and Inexpensively on Twitter
  • Blogging about this giveaway
  • Tweeting about this giveaway: Win a free iPhone application from @KidsEatFor and @Inexpensively! http://bit.ly/3SicBV

For your extra entries to be counted, be sure to leave an additional comment directing us to your entry. Only one additional entry per method (i.e. While multiple tweets are appreciated it, only one will count as a drawing entry.) The contest runs until November 8th at 11:59pm edt. Two winners will be notified by email on November 9th (as selected by Random.org).

Congratulations to Samantha, winner of last week’s Relish Relish giveaway.

There are numerous products and tools designed to help you live your life. Some will work, while others won’t. Each Tuesday, we’ll share something we’ve tried so you won’t have to spend money until you know it’s worth it! Our selections usually include items that will also save your family money while others will save you time or just make your inexpensive life easier to manage. I received a free coupon code to try this service for our readers, in addition to the 2 free codes for our giveaway, but the opinion is 100% real.

I love the movie listing iPhone app. We’ve used it when we’re out and about and decide to go to a movie spontaneously (which, with a 3 year old is not too often, but still).

If you ask Punkin, he would say the best family friendly restaurant is McDonald’s.
I think Red Robin is a great place to eat as a family (and he does like the balloons).
