Make Your Own Holiday Labels (U-Printing Sticker Giveaway)

October 15, 2009 at 12:03 pm

While we’re on the subject of holiday gifts, let’s talk about wrapping. Once you get all your great bargains home, hiding them from prying eyes becomes your big concern. One way to take care of that is to wrap them right away—not only does it hide the gift, but you’ll have less to do once the holidays are upon us. The bane of my existence when it comes to holiday gift wrapping is those darn labels!

With a family of 5, I either have to write so tiny it’s barely legible or resort to the generic “The Sokol Family” or “Heather, Spencer and Girls” signature. I much prefer to give every gift giver an identity on the tag, but larger tags are extremely pricey and hard to find. My other irritation is those bulk gift sticker packs where half the stickers included aren’t even name labels, just cheesy clip art on a sticker. Then, Scary Mommy‘s brilliant gift tag idea spurred an idea to make my own holiday gift stickers.

The only thing I need to decide is if I’m having our names printed on it or just creating cute, decorative stickers large enough to hold everyone’s name in legible handwriting. We’re likely not adding to our family, considering we’ve had that particular issue handled (ahem), but the 250 stickers I’ve been offered from U-Printing will be around for quite some time. It probably wouldn’t hurt to leave myself open to other options—especially for all the times my sisters show up and ask for extra labels.

sticker_upIf you want to make custom stickers for your holiday gift tags (or anything else!), you can save 10% on your U-Printing purchase now or, even better, win 250 custom stickers here or there—simply leave a comment, telling us what you’ll do with your prize. You can earn additional entries by:

  • Becoming a Facebook fan of U-Printing and Inexpensively
  • Subscribing to our site by email or RSS
  • Following U-Printing and Inexpensively on Twitter
  • Blogging about this giveaway
  • Tweeting about this giveaway: Win 250 free custom stickers from @Uprinting and @Inexpensively! http://bit.ly/4r0m9r

For your extra entries to be counted, be sure to leave an additional comment directing us to your entry. Only one additional entry per method (i.e. While multiple tweets are appreciated it, only one will count as a drawing entry.) The contest runs until October 18th at 11:59pm edt. One winner will be notified by email on October 19th (as selected by Random.org) and must submit their mailing information within 48 hours or a new winner will be chosen. Open only to residents of the U.S. & Canada and cannot be shipped to PO boxes.

Your prize (full color front, blank sticker back printed on 70lb matte paper in sizes: 2” x 3.5”, 2” x 4”, or 3” x 3” with 4 Business Day printing) will be awarded in the form of a custom coupon code, redeemable at U-Printing.com. Prize includes free UPS shipping in the U.S. (Canadian winners will be responsible for any shipping costs incurred.)

We were offered this giveaway as part of the U-Printing Blog Sponsorship program. I am receiving 250 free stickers in addition to the free product for our readers, but the opinion is 100% real and honest.

Definitely something to do with my Mary Kay business…maybe labels to stick on the backs of my business cards, offering a free lipstick?
