End of Season Sales

With the change in weather, you should also be thinking about the kinds of things that go on sale at the end of season. This is the time of year to take advantage of some great deals and save lots of money.

I may be shopping for a few end of season items if we have to put in a new deep well. Unfortunately, our shallow well is about shot. Putting in a well is a very messy job — so this area will need to be spruced up once the job is complete. I am so tried of fighting with the grass to grow in this shady area, I think I am just going to put down pine straw and be done. If we go this route, I will be revamping the yard a bit and searching for a smaller patio set or even a garden bench, some pots and maybe bird bath.
I noticed that Kmart is already starting to mark down their patio furniture and grills. Remember, even if the stores run out of the product, a lot of times you can still buy the item on line.

Did I mention that a deep well runs about $6,000 (yikes)? Hopefully, we will be able to reuse our pump equipment which should shave about $1,000.

Also, look for other end of year items on sale…gardening, pool items, fans and even air conditioning units. My personal, favorite end of year sales are after Christmas!
