First Saturdays at The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum

January 28, 2011 at 10:29 am Leave a Comment

As a relatively new Texan, I’m enjoying learning about this gigantic state, and one place I’ve visited several times that has taught me lots about my new home state is The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.

The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum offers FREE admission to exhibits from 2-6 pm on the first Saturday of every month. The museum serves to preserve the history of Texas and showcase treasures from around the state. The museum features three floors of exhibits, each with a theme: Land, Identity and Opportunity.

First Saturdays is part of the museum’s initiative to offer educational opportunities to Texas residents that may not be able to afford the price of admission, so take the family to learn about their home state and enjoy the capital city of Austin!
