Discount Tire Rebates Available

March 1, 2010 at 5:50 pm 1 Comment

I was feeling pretty good about March—the sun was finally shining, the snow is melting and my birthday is in 4 days. Then, the hubby left for work this morning to find a flat tire on my van. We found an inexpensive replacement at Discount Tire, pre-ordered it online and bought a can of fix-a-flat to get us there. I also discovered several great rebates, if you’re replacing all 4 tires! You can get back up to $100 on your purchase.

Due to a a serious string of bad luck, we decided to just get the one, necessary tire. Our dishwasher is broken, our water softener is broken and the water heater ran out. We shut off the water softener, started washing dishes by hand (gasp!) and learned to take fast showers before the hot water ran out. Over the weekend, we decided they were all connected and made moves to have the water softener repaired. We also drained the water heater and that helped a lot.

Now, I’m starting dinner while the hubby is off to have my tire replaced. I do hope, however, that our misfortune is able to help someone else save money on a needed purchase before they have the same experience! I knew it was getting close to replacement time on that tire. If the winter has been rough on your wheels, take advantage of the special promotions before it’s too late (in more ways than one)!
