Target Updates Price Matching Policy Again

November 28, 2009 at 11:23 am Leave a Comment

These last couple weeks Target has made lots of changes in their couponing and price matching policies so be sure you are aware of the changes and your visits there should be a lot more productive.  You may also want to print it off and carry it with you if you ever need it.

Target updated their price matching policy again.  I have to say that I have been very disappointed at how Target has handled all this price matching and couponing.  It has really made me look elsewhere for deals lately.  So when I heard about this newest change I just rolled my eyes and it really didn’t surprise me.

Target has now said that if you want to price match an item, and there is a Target coupon available they will take the Target coupon off first and if the price matching price is still lower then they will price match it and then take off anymore manufacturer’s coupons you have.  There will be no more using Target coupons after price matching to get an even better price.  So, what is the point in going to Target over another store that price matches?  There really isn’t one.  I think I will be taking my price matching money elsewhere instead of jumping through all the hoops put up by Target.

Also remember that you can now only print of 2 of each target coupon per computer and only from their website, outside of the store.  This means no kiosk printing anymore (that was the saddest part for me).  Now the deals will be less often, but there will still be good deals there so be sure you are still checking their store.

Hopefully there wont be a ton of new changes over the next few weeks and we can just count on the rules staying the same while we finish up our holiday shopping.
