Women love diamonds. And contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to break the bank in order to get the diamonds you love. While you may often see your favorite celebs sporting rocks that cost more than your house, I’m going to give you two great ways to achieve the same look at a price you can afford.
The Halo Setting
The first great way to get more bling for your buck is to choose a halo setting. A halo setting is a circular ring of smaller diamonds around the circumference of the center stone, thus creating a ‘halo’ effect around the central diamond. The bordering diamonds reflect even more light off the center diamond, making your center stone appear even bigger and making it shine that much brighter. You can also easily add this down the line, giving your current ring a complete makeover in the future. The additional diamonds will add texture as well as create that all important illusion of a bigger center stone.
The Bezel Setting
The second great way to get more bling for your buck is to add a bezel setting to your ring. A bezel set is a slim piece of metal that surrounds the center stone. This is the most popular setting due to the fact that it is extremely secure, offering the best protection for your diamond. For those that lead an active lifestyle, a bezel setting is ideal for minimizing the risk of either losing the center stone, or damaging the ring. Another reason for its popularity is that the metal collar prevents dirt, dust, and oil from building up on the center stone. The bezel setting, similar to the Halo setting, also makes the center diamond appear larger.
These two options are wonderful ways to keep your diamond safe, clean, and appear even larger. And best of all, they are very affordable options that add so much bling to your ring! These two settings allow you to save money, without compromising any quality. Even if you don’t have a million bucks, the halo and bezel settings can make you look like you look like you do!
