Still don’t have plans for the day after Christmas? Or December 27th through the 29th? Do you need something to do on January 1st and 2nd? Something FREE??????? I’ve got good news for you!

The Town of Islip presents the 3rd Annual Winter by the Bay at the Ronkonkoma Recreation Center at 299 Rosevale Avenue.

It’s being run from Sunday, December 26, 2010 through Wednesday, December 29, 2010 and then again on January 1st and 2nd.

The event starts at noon every day and ends at 8pm every day (well, the dates I mentioned, of course).

What’s taking place? Besides getting a great view of Lake Ronkonkoma, you’ll be able to participate in Free Ice Skating, Free Horse & Buggy Rides, Free Sledding and Free snowman-making contests! The will also have Fireside Lounge with refreshments and more. It’s being sponsored by Cablevision, The Rinx and Brightwaters Farms.

I believe we’ll be heading out for as many of the days as we can! The kids love the snow, it’s a great park over there and it’ll be a lot of fun since it’s winter break for my Little Miss!
