Welcome to the first installment of Money Saving Monday! We are excited to share tips and advice from around the web with today’s theme, Halloween. From homemade costumes and inexpensive crafts to frugal Halloween treats, we’re excited to see how you celebrate October on a budget. The current Family Fun magazine shared a cute reader tip for turning a brown patch of ornamental grass into a witch’s broom just by gathering the top to tie around a long stick. There are several more fun, frugal ideas on their website.
I’m sharing my own favorite frugal Halloween ideas at Mom’s Marbles this week. Of course, one of my all time favorite money-saving tips is to choose items that are reusable, not disposable. That applies to holidays as well! I purchased a craft pumpkin for only $10. It makes all the effort on intricate designs a lot more worthwhile if I can display it year after year. Plus, at around twice the cost of a real pumpkin, it pays for itself after just 2 Halloweens. (Just don’t give it to your 2-year-old, unless you prefer Tow Mater to be eyeless.)

I don’t have a blog so I’ll comment here. I love fall and Halloween because I can find endless, inexpensive ways to entertain my three year old. Today, we printed a drawing of a pumpkin from the Internet, colored it, glued it to a thick white piece of paper for stability, and decorated him with googly eyes and glitter glue. It kept us busy for about an hour and now we have an inexpensive Halloween decoration to give to Nana. We also collect leaves that have fallen and make leaf collages. We buy bags of mini-pumpkins (very cheap at Wal-mart) and decorate them with glitter, sequins, paint, pipe cleaners, confetti, you name it, we’ve used it! These make excellent decorations to sit out on tables, porches, etc. and keep us busy for hours. We cut bats out of black craft foam, glue eyes on them, glue them to Popsicle sticks, and stick them in the flower pots full of pansies we planted. One of my daughter’s favorite things to do is Indoor Trick or Treat. She dresses up in an old costume or some of her dress up clothes while I hide candy, fruit snacks, stickers–whatever we have on hand-(in plastic eggs from Easter!) all around the house. Then she hunts all the eggs, shouting Trick or Treat! when she finds one. We have a blast when fall comes to our house, and it doesn’t cost a fortune.

Now out of the blue we are suddenly in a market with the
wall street dance of doom and gloom and it is a festive occasion. Information of this caliber is the kind the leg up
that differentiates those who make their plays at just the right time from those who don’t.
Included in this information is information regarding Berkshire’s
positions in H&R Block, Inc.

get that kind of information in such a perfect approach of writing?
I have a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such info.
