Family Friendly Dining

June 26, 2008 at 9:25 am

2008-12-013Summer is here and there are nights when it is just too hot to cook. If your family decides to dine out for the evening, keep these ideas in mind for family friendly restaurants that are friendly to your budget.

  • Family and Kids’ Nights: Many restaurants have special nights once per week geared to children and families. Some offer special deals (free kids’ meal with purchase, for example). Others have special features like mascots, magicians or balloons. The website MyKidsEatFree.com has started a database of these restaurants.
  • Birthday Clubs: Check with your favorite local restaurants for clubs or memberships. You can receive free coupons on your birthday or membership anniversary.
  • Restaurant Coupons: You can find coupons for area restaurants in the newspaper, Entertainment Book and at a comprehensive website Coupons4Indy.com.
  • Restaurant.com: You can purchase dining certificates at this website for area restaurants. They typically have minimum purchase requirements and other restrictions, but you can purchase them for a fraction of the full price.
