I was exited to have the chance to review The Simple Stencil because we have been working on updating our home decor with wall words for awhile now. I even hosted an Uppercase Living demonstration just for the chance to earn a few pieces—it’s dang expensive! I’ve also bought the cheap stuff in retail stores, but (here’s the thing about “cheap”) it wasn’t really any good.

The good news is Simple Stencil works great and costs about 25% less! Their catalog isn’t quite as extensive, but I still had a really hard time narrowing down my selections. I ended up having her create a custom piece with the phrase “It’s never too late for happily ever after…” It just fits us in this new phase of our marriage. I’m thrilled with the choice, and the line looks fabulous along the top of our bedroom window.

Watch The Simple Stencil in action in my first ever video review, then check out how you can win $50 to choose your own!

thumb-tried-it-tuesdayThere are numerous products and tools designed to help you live your life. Some will work, while others won’t. Each Tuesday, we’ll share something we’ve tried so you won’t have to spend money until you know it’s worth it! Our selections usually include items that will also save your family money while others will save you time or just make your inexpensive life easier to manage. I was provided with $50 in stencils from the company through Mom Made That to try for this review, but the opinion is 100% real.

Easy Lunchboxes Review & Giveaway

My children take their lunch to school 5 days per week. We are huge fans of the Laptop Lunches for an easy, visual way to pack a balanced lunch. However, searching for the pieces every night & washing each one is a chore. The hubby and I were discussing the cost vs. value of purchasing a [...]

Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil Review & Giveaway

When my daughter was first diagnosed with celiac disease, I learned about this whole new world of food allergies. My youngest couldn’t eat gluten (wheat, barley or rye), meat (protein processing problems as a result of her illness), strawberries or tomatoes (all acidic food allergies she has since outgrown). One of the things that popped [...]

When My Blog Spark asked my family to try the new reduced sugar kids’ cereals, I was thrilled—many General Mills cereals are naturally gluten free. We don’t buy them often, though, because I don’t like to start my girls’ day with so much sugar. It is nice to have some on [...]

Tried It Tuesday: Keurig Single Cup Home Brewing System

After much debating over what to get my husband for an anniversary gift I decided on this Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System.

It is an eco-friendly way to [...]

Meals Planned for You (Relish Relish Giveaway)

When I first heard of Relish Relish, I was very intrigued. I have heard of services that plan meals for you and write out a shopping list, but this one advertised custom options and a gluten free menu. I had to check it out for myself and the gals at Relish were gracious enough to [...]

A Better Tissue (Boogie Wipes Giveaway)

I received a free set of Boogie Wipes early in the summer as part of a promotion they ran via Twitter. However, I didn’t even open it until earlier this season. We didn’t need them as an ordinary tissue would suffice for the occasional runny nose. The first time I pulled out the Boogie Wipes, [...]
