The Inexpensively Network connects individuals from around the country to provide families with the most up to date and accurate savings tools in their own communities. They compile weekly lists for grocery store deals, suggest ideas on living your life for less, offer tips on finding the best savings and encourage our community to be charitable even on a budget. Meet our team each week as we feature one of our contributors, in her own words.
First and foremost, I am a mother to a smart and beautiful 18 year old daughter who is college bound Fall 2009 and I am married to a wonderful husband for 22 years. Empty-nest here I come!
In August 2008, I lost my job of 18 years due to the downturn in the economy. With more time on my hands, I started paying attention to the rising cost of groceries. My grocery bills were quite high and I cringe now at the waste of money over the years.
I have always been a bargain hunter and love the challenge of finding the best deals on electronics, household items, clothes, etc., but grocery shopping was another story. I hated it. If I needed it, I threw it in the buggy without giving the price a thought. To save money, I started using coupons and then I started using the internet and learning ways to cut expenses even more on my food bill and also save money in so many other areas.
My savings was unbelievable and in just a few months, I had more than cut our grocery bill in half by applying principles and techniques that I learned. I was so excited about all the money I was saving that I started teaching family and friends and I enjoyed the fact that they were shocked at their savings. Now, I look forward to going to the grocery store and can’t wait to see my register receipt.
Eventually, I was encouraged to teach individuals and that is how Savings With Sadie came to be. It started out as a tool to use in class but has grown and become so much more. This truly is a savings game and so much fun. What better time in the history of our country to really concentrate on savings.
I am excited about networking with Inexpensively and to be on the ground floor of exciting things to come. I look forward to sharing my grocery match-ups and sharing with you the deals I post on my Savings With Sadie website.
I have many passions: gardening, traveling, treasure/bargain hunting, reading, wine and so many more. I share all the deals I find as well as tips I have learned. And not to be forgotten, SHOPPING. I love to shop and I constantly scour the internet or store for the lowest price available prior to purchase. I have always been a “deal finder” and will enjoy sharing my deals with you.
