Target’s new Low Price Promise is being rolled out nationwide this week. They have committed to scouting competitors and setting their own prices to beat competitors. If you find a lower price, simply bring the ad and your receipt to the Guest Services desk within 7 days!
This means you have a week to find a better price. The downside is they are not offering price matching at the checkout. You will need to pay first, then get a reimbursement at the service counter. Price matching applies to local, current print ads only and (naturally) comes with a list of exclusions:
- Target.com or online retail promotion
- Competitor’s Free Product
- Gift Cards
- Limited quantity items
- Open box or damaged
- Clearance or closeout
- Mail-in offers
- Services (warranties, assembly, etc.)
- Bundle offers
- Special order
- Sales-tax promotions
- Liquidation/going out of business
- Special financing
- Coupons
- Used or previously owned
- Display merchandise
- Pricing or typographical errors
- Club or loyalty
We are looking forward to seeing how this will impact Black Friday shopping. Thanks to our new partner at Luv2BFrugal for the heads up on this great deal!

I heard from pretty good authority that the price matching will not be valid on Black Friday just like Meijer. I thought I would let you know.
