A Better Tissue (Boogie Wipes Giveaway)

I received a free set of Boogie Wipes early in the summer as part of a promotion they ran via Twitter. However, I didn’t even open it until earlier this season. We didn’t need them as an ordinary tissue would suffice for the occasional runny nose. The first time I pulled out the Boogie Wipes, it was because Lorelai had a particularly crusty booger. Ordinarily, I would have picked at it with my fingernails (yeah, I know—ew), but I suddenly remembered the Boogie Wipes.

BoogieHandSmallEach wipe is wet with a saline solution, perfect for softening and removing the crusties. The wipes are soft, but didn’t rip even with the pull of a youngster who wanted to do it herself. They were a huge hit with Lorelai. The flip top lid is super easy to use (not such a good thing with a 3-year-old who think she’s self-sufficient—she must have used 3 or 4 that very day.) and the wipes pop-up one by one.

They retail around $3.99 each package—quite a bit more than an ordinary facial tissue. It was my big hangup for using Boogie Wipes in the first place, but then I remembered how much a bottle of saline spray costs. If you end up using both tissues and saline, as my pediatrician recommends every time the girls get stuffy, the cost is probably equivalent. Of course, there is always value to consider—having a child beg to use a Boogie Wipe is worth a lot more than the money I save buying the tissues that make her run screaming.

My only real issue with Boogie Wipes is the soft-sided packaging. It’s way too likely to be punctured and dry out the wipes when I toss it in the car or a bag. On the other hand, they do make Boogies on the Run for a reason! If you want to get a package of your own, either the 30-count soft pack or the 10-count individually wrapped wipes, you can buy online or get a coupon to purchase at a store near you. Better yet, win 2 free 30-ct packs of Boogie Wipes now—simply leave a comment here, telling us why you need something that’s ‘snot your average wipe!

I have two boys and this time of year, they always have runny noses. I think they would enjoy using this product so it may help prevent the crusted up sleeves I find while doing laundry (gross, I know).

How bizarre, I was just about to post a tweet asking if anyone had used Boogie Wipes and what their thoughts were. Eli has his first cold of the season and he runs screaming every time he sees me coming with the tissues!

I love these things! I paid full retail for them (I was in a pinch) and instantly fell in love. They really do make getting the dried stuff off a lot easier, and they also have a pleasant, mild scent. No problems with the soft packaging, it seems to be quite a bit more sturdy than your typical plastic. No problems with drying out between uses. Love love love them!

My son has seasonal allergies, so his nose is going nonstop for half of the year…these would be a big plus in the car!

My toddler gets pretty snotty in the winter, and he cries when we wipe his nose. This would be great!

Are they too wet? I’ve tried using regular diaper wipes to wipe boogers, and they are too wet and the kids don’t like it. I don’t have anyone sick right now, thank goodness – but I’ve got 7 kids so there’s bound to be someone at any given time!

They aren’t too wet at all. Just dampened with saline – my daughter loves them! ~Heather

My little one FREAKS OUT whenever I wipe her nose (which is often, seeing as she has a lovely cold) and I think these would really help with being more soothing, I’d love to give them a try!
