One of the things I really miss being gluten free is having frozen pizzas on hand for emergency “We have to be there in 30 minutes, and I forgot to plan dinner” nights! Of course, even then, some pizzas were better than others. Freschetta is definitely one of the better frozen pizzas—loved their rising crust!
Now, I’m relegated to homemade g-free, but the hubby enjoys frozen pizza now & then for lunch at work. When we were offered the opportunity to try Freschetta FlatBread pizza, I knew he would be thrilled to have it again. The pizza we chose was spinach & roasted garlic. He also chopped up a single, grilled chicken breast to add a little more substance. I think he was a concerned, since he’s not typically a fan of thin crust pizza.
Then again, there’s clearly a difference between Freschetta FlatBread and traditional thin crust pizzas. This didn’t turn out crispy, as he had feared. The crust was still a soft bread, tasted great, and he’ll definitely be trying it again. Especially with the $1 coupon now available—you can print a $1 off any Freschetta pizza coupon.
Watch for sales at your local grocery store for even greater savings, and let me know which flavor you decide to try out!
We received free coupons for Freschetta pizzas to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% mine.
