Welcome back to Money Saving Monday! Our family has 3 different parties that we are hosting in the next few weeks, in addition to the family reunion I have organized for this weekend. I can’t wait to hear all your fabulous tips for party planning on a budget. I’ve got the basics down, but with so many parties on the horizon I’m looking for new unique ideas.
I do have the advantage of Halloween to help with our upcoming birthdays (November, December, January!). I’ll use the clearance sales in early November to stock up on candy and items for the goody bags. Of course, I often skip those altogether. If I can tie a larger gift or project into the party, I just forgo the goody bag junk. My oldest hosted a Fashion Diva party last year. Our gift to her guests was the tie-dyed pillow the girls created during the event. My youngest celebrated her 3rd birthday with a truck party so, of course, each of the little guests took home their own Hot Wheels truck. I haven’t come up with anything fitting for this year’s marshmallow party (um, I didn’t get it either) so Halloween candy it is!
