I hope you’re taking advantage of the summer months by putting your grill to good use! Grilling gets everybody out into the beautiful summer weather to socialize and keeps your house cool and the mess out of your kitchen!
Did you try out any of the grilling rubs or marinades? How about the cilantro lime yard bird? Or perfectly grilled veggies? Another great way to add some variety to your grilling is by adding sauces! They can be used to grill, dunk or drench ribs, brisket, seafood, and veggies.
If you’re grilling with sauces, I’ll let you in on a little trick—only add your sauces to your meat near the end of grilling! Grilling sauces typically combine sweet and savory and since sugar burns easily you don’t want to expose it to the heat for too long – just enough to carmelize!
Lets share some great sauces for your whole meal—veggies, meat, and desert!
Sauce Safety Tip: If you want to serve sauce at the table, set aside a bowl. You don’t want to be dipping your brush into all the sauce after brushing raw/undercooked meat.
